Benjamin Brown

Benjamin Brown has spent over two decades captivating audiences across stage, screen, and television, with performances that have taken him from intimate comedy clubs to international venues spanning the globe between New York City and Los Angeles. His versatility as a performer is matched by his work behind the scenes, where he has worn the hats of producer and star alike.

In the late 1990s, Brown created and headlined the award-winning Disney Channel series *Omba Mokomba*, a project that showcased his creative range. More recently, he has served as producer and star of the Fox television series *Safari Tracks*, which continues to reach viewers worldwide through syndication. Beyond his on-screen accomplishments, Brown channels his passion for education into his role as Artistic Director of Yearning to Learn, Inc., an organization dedicated to producing educational residencies, theatrical works, and creative workshops. Under his leadership, the company has developed arts-in-education programming for a diverse range of institutions, including People's Light and Theatre Company, the United States Army, Kindercare, and Decatur United Methodist Church in Atlanta.

Most recently, Brown has directed two touring educational productions for Yearning to Learn, Inc.: *Magical World Folktales*, which encourages a love of reading and creative self-expression, and *Tafari's Folktales From Africa!*, an interactive storytelling experience designed to strengthen listening, verbal, and interpretive skills in young audiences.
