Christian Bégin

Christian Bégin, a Quebec City-born filmmaker, has forged a distinctive career at the crossroads of cinema and extreme sports, with a particular focus on skiing and mountain biking. In 1997, he partnered with Bjørn Enga to establish Radical Films Inc., a production house that would become his creative launchpad. Two years later, Bégin traded the Laurentians for the peaks of British Columbia, a move that would shape his artistic vision.

His professional foundation was built on a 1998 diploma in Ski Area Management, Resort Operation, and Marketing, which gave him a business-savvy edge in the outdoor recreation industry. Beyond filmmaking, Bégin co-founded Bella Coola Heli Sports alongside Peter Mattsson and Beat Steiner, a venture that merged his passion for powder with entrepreneurial drive. He remained a key figure in the heliski operation until July 2018, when he divested his stake to explore fresh horizons.
