An elderly Holocaust survivor reads aloud a letter he once wrote to the pig that kept him alive. Sitting in a classroom, a young schoolgirl listens to his testimony—and then falls into a strange, warped dream. There, she is forced to wrestle with who she is, with inherited grief that isn't hers alone, and with how monstrous people can become.
