Die Like a Man

In a west Los Angeles neighborhood caught between gentrification and the lingering shadow of gang violence, a hardworking single mother fights to pull her 17-year-old son Freddy away from the influence of an aging gangster who’s stepped in as a father figure. As the streets around Venice shift, she must confront the past and the dangerous loyalty that binds her son to the man who offers him a sense of belonging.
