Maya and Toni express their concerns about the lack of public affection between William and Joan. To address this, the couple attempts to hold hands in public, but their plans are interrupted when they encounter Joan's former flame, Brock. William becomes uneasy when Joan doesn’t clarify their relationship status to Brock, leading him to question her feelings for her ex. Maya and Toni support this suspicion, prompting Joan to confront the truth. Later, she has a heated exchange with Brock, ultimately reaffirming her commitment to William. Meanwhile, Lynn's ex-boyfriend Lenny’s mother goes to great lengths to bring them back together.
