S04E04 Home Sweet Home
Sgt. Cryer orchestrates a raid to carry out an eviction at a squat occupied by affluent young people, with Councillor Thomas overseeing the operation. The eviction goes smoothly, but Thomas quickly disappears when a reporter shows up. Meanwhile, P.C. Smith and P.C. Haynes respond to a call at the local library, where a homeless woman named Marie Tucker and her children are staying. Haynes hands her a council housing brochure to encourage her to move on. Later, they get called to a burglary at Councillor Thomas' residence, only to discover that Marie has locked herself in the bathroom. Insp. Frazer arrives with a social worker who has reported Marie missing, and they attempt to coax her out. When she falls silent, they force the door open, tragically finding that Marie has overdosed and passed away.
