Having commandeered a transmitter to alert Exofleet regarding the Venus Grav Shield, JT, Alec, and Marsala make a daring escape from Earth by covertly boarding a prison transport. Meanwhile, the remaining members of Able Squad are dispatched to Venus to track down the installations for the shield projector.
