PC Penhale is taken aback when his ex-wife Maggie shows up, seemingly oblivious to their long-ago separation, and questions him about why he left. Meanwhile, Eleanor reconnects with an old school friend, local fisherman Paul Hale, as they go out on a date. In another development, Martin and Louisa reach a consensus on what to name their baby, putting an end to their previous disagreements.
