Despite his worries, Lois dismisses his concerns and shares her aspirations for him to one day become President of the United States. Meanwhile, Reese goes to extreme lengths to secure a permanent job as a high school janitor, even going as far as creating an utterly revolting mess. Hal is preoccupied with the costs of Malcolm's Harvard tuition, while Francis lands a fulfilling 9-to-5 job for the first time. The family also welcomes Grandma Ida back as they prepare to bid farewell to Malcolm as he heads off to college.
