Smiley's search leads him to a quaint fishing village in pursuit of a man named Otto. Instead of finding Otto alive, he discovers his lifeless body rotting in a boat, alongside a strange chalk mark he recognizes. In his quest for answers, Smiley engages with a woman who now lives in constant fear, adding another layer of intrigue to his investigation.
