Spritle and Chim Chim tumble into the river below, while the palace guards shout for Prince Jam from their lofty perch. Minister Offendem persuades the king to have Pops and his crew arrested for constructing a faulty racing car. With Prince Jam missing, the king reluctantly decides that Prince Sugarin will take over the throne, much to Offendem's delight. Pops and Trixie are taken into custody, and as they’re escorted away, Offendem inquires about Speed, but the guards inform him that Speed managed to escape arrest. Meanwhile, in the river, Chim Chim splashes water on Spritle's face to revive him. Speed hangs precariously from a tree branch, and when Spritle honks the Mach Five's horn, Chim Chim inadvertently causes Speed to crash down. Spritle confesses to Speed that he isn't the prince. Speed suddenly realizes that the true prince is trapped in a hotel room. Out on the city streets, the prince struggles to find something to eat,
