Outside the escape pod, a desolate landscape of snow and ice stretches endlessly, lifeless and quiet. Driven by his vow to Yukio, Tetsuo embarks on a quest to locate any remaining human survivors. He discovers an abandoned excavator among the ruins and uses it to fend off an attacking intergalactic kaiju. In this intense moment, he finally comes across the scattered remnants of humanity that have endured. Will Tetsuo finally find the companionship he has always desired?
