As a fierce storm howls outside, Joe and Helen swing by the "Singles Mingle" to drop off Brian's wallet, eager to leave and kick off their first wedding anniversary celebration. However, they soon learn that rising water has closed all the roads, leaving everyone stranded. To keep their marriage under wraps, Joe suggests to Helen that she pretend to be his fiancée once more.
