As she steals glances at his physique, their connection deepens, leading to romantic strolls among the bluebells, where Angel becomes infatuated with Tess. However, tensions arise when Angel's father favors a more suitable match for his son. While Tess navigates her tumultuous life with a hint of resilience, she can still be seen as frustratingly passive by today’s standards. Nonetheless, their story unfolds against the picturesque backdrop of Thomas Hardy's countryside.
