Graeme opens a retirement sanctuary for worn-out creatures, offering them a peaceful final chapter. When a battered pantomime horse arrives, Tim takes it under his wing, teaching the old performer some new tricks. But their quiet haven is shattered when Bill, with no regard for the animal's age or condition, swipes the horse to enter it in the prestigious Grand National. The theft sets off a frantic scramble to save their beloved charge from a reckless and dangerous fate.
