Kuzak becomes personally invested in a case involving a terminally ill smoker who is suing a tobacco company. Meanwhile, Sifuentes faces ongoing challenges in his romantic life. Kelsey and Markowitz struggle to resolve their communication issues despite seeking professional guidance. Becker develops a rapport with his client's ex-wife in an effort to facilitate a divorce settlement. Lastly, Sifuentes makes a moral choice by providing evidence that exonerates a man wrongfully convicted of vandalizing his new car.
