One evening, the residents are jolted by strange sounds emanating from the vacant house next to theirs. Concerned, Jean contacts the police, only to discover it’s merely the former owner retrieving some belongings. The young officer who responds is smitten with Sandy and asks her out on a date. Meanwhile, Jean learns that Penny and Stephen are interested in purchasing the neighboring property. Alistair devises a scheme to acquire the house himself, hoping to prevent Penny and Stephen from becoming their new neighbors.
