Meanwhile, Scottish nobleman Lord Gordon-Gordon finds himself embroiled in controversy when he acquires a stake in the Erie Railroad, a fallout from a scheme orchestrated by Wall Street tycoon Jay Gould, who is also the proprietor of Lyndhurst, a castle located in Tarrytown, New York.
