In Los Angeles, Alan finds himself representing TV actress Courtney Rae, who has been detained for shooting a photographer she mistakenly believes is a stalker. Complicating matters, Denny and Barry continue to make inappropriate advances toward her. At the same time, Denise employs sneaky methods to sideline Marlene, but her scheme crumbles when Paul discovers her actions. Meanwhile, Brad seeks Shirley's assistance to convince the judge to reduce the sentence in his niece's case.
