While working on the roof, Oliver accidentally drops a hammer, hitting Lisa on the head and causing her to lose her memory. He feels disheartened when she fails to recognize him. As he grapples with her condition, he starts to wonder if she might be pretending to have amnesia just to convince him to take her to New York for the opera season opening.
