As the senior trip approaches, Joey faces a challenge in securing time off from her job, especially since Drue's mom is her boss. Ultimately, she agrees to take a few days off in exchange for going on a double date with Pacey, who will be paired with Drue and a wealthy girl named Anna Evans to keep Drue in line. Joey finds it difficult to manage the night, particularly as she grows uneasy with the way Anna fawns over Pacey. Meanwhile, Dawson grapples with an age gap as he hangs out with Gretchen and her friends, while Jack finally experiences some positive attention from Tobey.
