Meanwhile, Lucy eagerly anticipates a visit from her best friend Suzanne, only to discover that Suzanne has run away from home. In class, Simon's fear of Mrs. Hunter causes him to doubt his project skills, prompting him to pretend he's sick to escape it. Additionally, Ruthie is anxious about her upcoming field trip, worried that she might wander off and get separated from her classmates.
