Title: The Second Bride Plot: Martha Hunter, a mail order bride, arrives at her new husband Luke's dilapidated and poorly heated home. As Luke’s second wife, she becomes increasingly anxious upon learning that his first wife, also a mail order bride, met a puzzling fate during a visit to Luke’s family. Her fears escalate when she finds a coffin-like box and witnesses Luke digging in the cellar. When he proposes a vacation, her apprehension intensifies. Before they leave, he urges her to go to the cellar. In a panic, Martha grabs a gun and shoots Luke. Afterward, she investigates the cellar and discovers he had installed a new furnace as a surprise wedding present.
