When a renowned food critic receives threats from a restaurant proprietor, he decides to exit the establishment. Shortly thereafter, the chef is found dead. Columbo is welcomed by the local culinary community, yet he is puzzled by the deceased owner’s frantic drawer-slamming before his demise. How could poison infiltrate an unopened bottle without the murderer present? Was it a case of suicide?
