Charles is set to receive an award, but he's hesitant to go, viewing the attendees as pretentious. When the guests treat Khadijah poorly, he angrily dismisses the award. Concerned for his professional reputation, Khadijah asks his supportive boss to intervene. This frustrates Charles, revealing their mutual stubbornness. Meanwhile, Regine attends the event with Russell and leverages his connections to network with the guests. However, when she gets stuck with a hefty bill at the Russian Tea Room, Russell comes to her rescue. Max spends all her holiday money on a massage chair for herself, refusing to let anyone else use it. Kyle, Overton, and Synclaire plan their revenge but find themselves outmatched.
