In the quaint town of Haven, Maine, Roberta 'Bobbi' Anderson, a budding author, resides in a secluded home with her heavy-drinking partner, the poet James "Gard" Gardner, and their dog, Petey. When Gard leaves for a poetry conference, Bobbi discovers a mysterious green stone that captivates her. As she digs deeper into its origins, she starts hearing voices that guide her on repairing the heater and unlocking her creativity, allowing her to type out a novel through telepathic communication.
