Title: Deus Ex Machina Plot: Sung, Hooten, and Villanueva collaborate to persuade Trisha Miller, a 13-year-old battling a complex brain stem glioma, to consider one final surgical option before surrendering her fight. Reeling from the loss of a patient, Ty seeks comfort from Dr. Tina Ridgeway. Concurrently, Dr. Buck Tierney pressures resident Michelle Robideux to declare a possible organ donor brain dead. Additionally, Sydney seeks Villanueva’s expertise in diagnosing a patient being treated by internist Dr. John Lieberman.
