When a baby is abducted from a grocery store, it uncovers an underground adoption network and brings to light a cold case from twelve years ago involving a murdered mother and her vanished child. This case had once been handled by Captain Cragen and his former partner, the late Max Greevey, intertwining past and present as they seek justice and closure.
