During a poker night hosted by Greg, Dharma seizes the chance to bond with his friends, leading to unexpected tensions. As she becomes close to the men, offering them advice on sensitive issues like bankruptcy and romantic feelings for Greg, they start feeling uneasy around him due to his reluctance to express his emotions. Frustrated by Dharma's influence, Greg pretends to have plans with Jane, which she enthusiastically supports, landing him in a strange role-playing scenario with her eccentric friends, including a Trekkie with Vulcan ears. Meanwhile, Kitty and Edward are struggling with an influx of ducks in their swimming pool, and Abby, studying ornithological intelligence at Berkeley, enters the scene.
