Diarra delves into Marshall's 1995 notebook in an effort to dismantle Zervas' alibi. Posing as a documentary filmmaker, she gathers strippers from Eden's Ethiopia and uncovers a flaw in Zervas' story. When she confronts him with her findings, the situation takes a deadly turn, resulting in his murder.
