In the year 2101, Carmen intervenes to thwart a heist involving a formidable electro-magnet. Meanwhile, Zack and Ivy find themselves in the futuristic Acme Detective Agency, where the quirky Future Chief fails to recognize them. As they attempt to validate their identities, they encounter various run-ins with the law. Eventually, they reunite with Carmen in Africa. Despite the detectives revealing her criminal status, she manages to flee with the magnet, leaving Zack and Ivy in captivity.
