Once a union truck driver, Joe Angelo has transitioned to running a candy shop, but his past catches up with him when the Mob demands he vacate New York City due to his knowledge of their labor extortion schemes. Unwilling to abandon his home, Joe stands his ground, leading to a deadly confrontation. Tragically, his disabled son becomes the sole observer of his father's murder, placing him at the center of a dangerous web of crime and betrayal.
