He proposes an apartment-compliant electronic dog, the hassle-free Electronimo, powered by nuclear energy. Meanwhile, the rest of the family discovers a real dog. To determine which is better, they decide to hold a contest. Astro, the biological dog, ultimately shines when he unintentionally apprehends a burglar threatening their apartment building, showcasing his true value as a protector.
