S07E17 Chief Evidence
Title: Chief Evidence Plot: The 1996 homicide of Raquel Rivera and Jay Johnson, a couple from the suburbs of Seattle, is explored. Initially, authorities suspect the killings stem from a botched drug deal, but the absence of narcotics in their home and the lack of blood on the suspects' attire raises doubts. A breakthrough occurs when evidence from their dog Chief, who was also murdered, connects one of the suspects to the crime scene. This case marks one of the pioneering uses of canine DNA in securing a conviction.
