Some captains face unfortunate luck and ongoing mechanical issues, needing to catch enough crabs just to cover their costs, let alone make a profit for their teams. As the midnight deadline approaches, the race to unload intensifies. Boats are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and just a few minutes can determine whether they unload right away or remain stuck in the harbor for days.
