After an overnight journey west, she arrives in Portland, where she marvels at the stunning views along the Great Ocean Road and the Twelve Apostles, recognized as the world's largest war memorial. On Kangaroo Island at the Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, Susan encounters her first wild kangaroo and later spots a koala.
