As Elena begins high school, she is determined to outshine Lila both in grades and in matters of the heart. Meanwhile, Lila turns down numerous admirers, opting to dedicate herself to her dreams at the shoe shop. In a bid to inspire hope for the community, Stefano Carracci hosts a New Year's Eve gathering for Elena, Lila, and their families, but the celebration soon spirals into unexpected chaos.
