Worried about Lila’s declining health, Elena turns to her future mother-in-law, Adele, for guidance. Adele inspires her to pen an exposé about the Soccavo plant and the increasing tensions between competing unions. Meanwhile, after multiple medical appointments, Lila resolves to return to the neighborhood, even though she knows she is seen as an outcast.
