Jane arranges a private luxury river cruiser with four berths to journey along the Thames, celebrating the 70th birthdays of her dear friends, Sue and Olwen. As they reach Shepperton Lock, they encounter lock-keeper Steve Newman, who generously imparts his 46 years of experience to Jane before they continue their trip toward Windsor.
