In a shelter for battered women, a horrific murder occurs when a woman is killed in her daughter's room. The young girl, Julie, witnesses the crime and points to her father as the murderer. However, despite her testimony, Nick and Tracy struggle to gather sufficient evidence to charge him. As they dig deeper into the case, an "avenging angel" emerges, determined to seek justice on her own terms.
