Chip and his girlfriend drop a surprising bombshell on the Douglas family: they intend to get married while finishing high school. Steve, disapproving of the news, pays a visit to the girl's parents, who ultimately choose not to oppose the marriage but prefer to take a wait-and-see approach. Meanwhile, when Katie falls sick and Robbie takes her to the doctor, Chip and Debbie are left in charge of the triplets for an eventful and chaotic few hours.
