Lacey launches a newsletter for The Ruby, enlisting Brent to illustrate it. However, some patrons feel offended by his depictions, interpreting them too personally. In an attempt to mend things, Brent creates more cartoons, but this only escalates the situation. Meanwhile, Hank suggests a strategy for Lacey to boost her tips, but when he isn't offered a share of the profits, he decides to pursue his idea elsewhere. At the same time, Oscar finally achieves his lifelong aspiration, turning Emma's life upside down in the process.
