Larry and Balki stumble upon the fact that their apartment once belonged to Lowell Kelly, a renowned poet, and realize that an unpublished poem of his is concealed somewhere inside. Eager to find it, they begin their search, unaware of Larry's true intentions. Larry has learned that the poem could fetch around $100,000 and plans to sell it, keeping his motives a secret from Balki.
