First Flights with Neil Armstrong
S03E07 Flying Wings
In the pursuit of more efficient flight, certain designers envisioned a plane that was essentially just a wing, devoid of any additional structure, soaring through the skies. While creating effective flying wings has frequently been challenging, Northrop's innovative designs demonstrated their potential. This vision ultimately materialized with the production of the B-2 Stealth Bomber, successfully bringing the wing-only configuration to life.
