The boys land jobs at the Weeki Wachee theme park in Florida, where the main attraction features mermaids performing thrilling underwater acts. A timid girl named Elissa captivates everyone when she surfaces, showcasing her incredible swimming skills, and is quickly recruited for the show. She hints at having "come from the sea," suggesting she might be a real mermaid. While skeptical Tod is drawn to her, he suspects she’s just seeking fame for a film career. In contrast, Linc believes her story. Ultimately, Tod realizes too late that Elissa was being honest about her origins. Filming took place in Weeki Wachee and Crystal River, Florida, with accommodations at the Port Paradise Hotel.
