Harry is thrilled by the arrival of a shiny new car for the window display. However, after an intense argument with Rose, who has just had a visit from his mistress Ellen Love, he spirals into despair. He takes to the road, drinking and grappling with a painful childhood memory. At the same time, Agnes clashes with Victor upon her return to Selfridges, though Henri is happy to reunite with her.
