S01E12 Devil's Crossroad

Set three years before the main storyline, this episode centers on Yayoi, who used to play guitar in a band before being sent to a rehabilitation facility for latent criminal behavior. Eager for her release to return to music, she encounters Kogami, then a detective, and Ginoza, who are investigating a string of crimes in her old neighborhood. Initially hesitant to help, Yayoi changes her mind when Kogami gifts her guitar strings that remind her of her idol, Rina Takizaki. When a club they’re probing is set ablaze due to Kogami’s partner, Mitsuru Sasayama, acting impulsively, Yayoi seeks out Rina, only to find her involved in a resistance group that’s selling molotov cocktails to challenge the Sybil system.
