After being turned away from military service, Ernest T. Bass angrily targets Andy, vowing to shatter every window in Mayberry. Upon discovering the true reason behind Ernest's rejection, Andy devises a plan that resolves the issue for everyone involved—except for poor Barney, who ends up caught in the crossfire.
