As he faces the daunting task of testifying in court, he grapples with his conflicting desire for justice and his troubled conscience. Memories resurface of a past incident where a woman falsely accused an innocent man in court, a man Nick knows to be blameless because he witnessed his vampire companion Janette commit the crime.
