S07E01 Deadly Slumber

The proprietor of a private hospital is discovered dead in his vehicle, following a sequence of ominous anonymous letters. The prime suspect becomes a retired bookmaker, whose daughter endured devastating brain damage due to malpractice during a past surgery. Morse dedicates significant time to exploring the possibility of the deceased's criminal negligence, ultimately concluding that he was indeed culpable. Despite his relentless pursuit of justice for the murderer, Morse appears surprisingly unfazed by his inability to secure a conviction in the end.
